Thanks to Flavorpill I have been introduced to this Canadian artist, Amanda Clyne. These portraits are made from images from magazines or photographs of classic oil paintings that she crops, reprints, paints, slices, and layers. They remind me of portraits I made in college, layering slices of photographic portraits. She’s inspired me to return to that project!
